Obiettivi dell’iniziativa e principali attività formative previste
The programme will feature:
• Lectures on topics of shared interest between Politecnico di Torino and selected Latin American partners of Magalhães, including the presentation of possible topics for joint PhD theses;
• Visit to laboratories and research infrastructures of Politecnico di Torino and of associated institutions of the Torino R&D ecosystem;
• Round tables with contributions from industry representatives from both the EU and LAC.

A Call for Applications has been issued for the awarding of 12 Attendance Scholarships.
Tipologia dell’iniziativa e target di riferimento
This Advanced Skills Course is aimed at training young talents and professionals to address the new challenges of the Sustainable Energy Transition, by leveraging the expertise of Politecnico di Torino and the Latin American universities of the Magalhães network.
The lecturing team will consist of teachers from Politecnico di Torino, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Tecnológico de Monterrey, Universidad de Chile, Universidade de São Paulo, Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María. PhD students (to be identified by the lecturers) will support the lecturers, also as testimonials.
Thematic areas will be:
• Renewable Energy;
• Nuclear Energy;
• Building physics / energy for architecture;
• Energy for mobility;
• Electrical power systems.
